The Coming Showcase Is the Pipeline Visibility We Asked For
Coffee Stain has announced “The Big Break Showcase” on September 29 at 19:00 CEST on YouTube with an IGN co-stream. The show will feature major announcements for its biggest franchises: Satisfactory, Goat Simulator, Deep Rock Galactic, Teardown, and Lightyear Frontier, as well as Ghost Ship Publishing. Expectations include a 1.0 release date for Lightyear Frontier, big news for Satisfactory, an exciting reveal for Goat Simulator 3, and updates from Deep Rock Galactic. Our recent deep dive argued that the pipeline opacity leads the market to underprice Coffee Stain's earnings potential; a showcase that puts titles and dates on the record is the soft pipeline disclosure we asked for. The share price has not reacted much, likely because the market expects more hard details and is in wait mode.

Why this matters
The showcase matters more for the equity story than for the quarter. This means the big win here isn't visibility into the coming quarter, but long-term plans that can sustain a growth story. In our recent deep dive, we wrote the following regarding potential value actions:
“Increased pipeline transparency: Currently, investors do not understand what capital investment goes into, and there is very limited visibility into what the pipeline looks like in 2027 and beyond. This is by design, but we feel the lack of transparency leads the market to underprice earnings potential. Maybe not hard announcements, but some soft plans would be great.”
A core view we have is that we believe the market is putting a discount on the company due to pipeline opacity: roughly 75% of the SEK 520m cash operating cost base is spent on core IP, the core portfolio generates about 90% of net sales, and yet investors have had almost no dated view of what that investment buys beyond FY26/27. As we have written earlier, that is by design, since Coffee Stain announces late and ships when ready, but the effect is that the market discounts future growth without a visible next leg.
With two soft launches, Rogue Core and Fellowship Season 3, the question of where the spend goes became even more pointed. A showcase that puts titles, formats, and dates on the record converts undisclosed opex into a pipeline the market can model, even if it says nothing about units or price.
What might be announced?
Coffee Stains' main focus at the event is likely marketing, so the show will focus on what sells. But for the sake of it, let’s speculate a little on what might be announced for the various IPs.
Satisfactory: The announcement said “big news” for Satisfactory. We believe this means…
